Rocking HorseThe ancient wood was cracked and worn with many long years. The nicks, cuts and scratches were too numerous to be counted as they blanketed the old oak of the now still rocking horse. Years of use had left the thing barely able to support its own weight much that of a child but it still held its place within the quiet nursery. Still it remained in the corner, staring toward the door that lay slightly ajar.
